Not another playlist player

Your playlists deserve a real streaming app.

PhiPTV turns the M3U link or Xtream Codes login you already have into a real streaming app: a profile for everyone at home, a Kids mode parents actually control, a guide with catch-up — and, with PhiPTV Cloud, your favourites, progress and settings waiting on every screen you own.

No ads in any version. PhiPTV ships empty: it plays only the sources you add and does not include any channels, playlists or subscriptions.

Why PhiPTV

Players stop at playback. PhiPTV starts there.

An ordinary playlist player is an app on one device. PhiPTV is an account, a household and a set of rules that travel with you.

PhiPTV Cloud

Same profile. Same minute. Every screen.

The experience you expect from the big streaming apps, built around the sources you bring. Sign in with Google or email on up to five screens and everything below follows you.

  • Playlists — logins are encrypted with a key unique to your account before they leave the device.
  • Profiles and avatars — the whole household, on every device.
  • Favourites — per profile, per playlist.
  • Continue Watching and history — resume anywhere at the same position.
  • Kids rules — approvals, limits and bedtime follow the child, not the device.
  • App settings — set it up once.

Rather keep everything on one device? PhiPTV Local has every feature and syncs nothing — your account only holds the licence. Cloud is the version that follows you.

In real life

One evening, one account.

This is what a household looks like when the player knows who is watching, on which screen, under which rules.

  1. 17:30Living-room TV · Kids profile

    The children pick their profile

They see the two categories you approved and nothing else from the playlist. The clock on today's watch limit starts.

  2. 18:15Living-room TV · Daily limit

Time is up, without an argument

The daily watch limit ends the session on its own. Leaving Kids mode needs your PIN.

  3. 20:00Living-room TV · Your profile

    Your own home screen

Your favourites, your suggestions, and the film you started last week waiting in Continue Watching at 42:10. Missed this afternoon's match? Open the guide and replay it, if your service keeps an archive.

  4. 22:10Phone · Same profile

    Pause downstairs, continue upstairs

Open PhiPTV on your phone and the film is there, at the minute you left it. The stream limit guard already knows the TV has stopped.

  5. SaturdayYour parents' TV · From your phone

Family tech support, from another city

They read you the MAC address and the device key shown on their TV. You add their playlist from your browser and it appears on their screen while you are still on the call.

Kids & parents

Built for a house with children in it.

Most players bolt a PIN onto a category. PhiPTV gives children their own profile and gives parents the controls.

  • Approve-only by default. A Kids profile starts with everything blocked. You approve playlists, categories, channels or single titles.
  • PIN-locked. Leaving Kids mode or changing a rule needs the parent PIN, which is stored as a salted hash, never as plain text.
  • Daily watch limit. Pick the minutes; PhiPTV ends the session when they are used.
  • Bedtime lock. Choose when the profile locks and when it opens again.
  • Usage breakdown. See what was watched and for how long.
  • Rules follow the child. With PhiPTV Cloud, set them once and they apply on every device signed in to your account.
  • Locked when unsure. If the rules cannot be checked, Kids mode stays closed rather than open.
The craft

The small things other players skip.

Everything below works with the sources you bring. Nothing is pre-loaded.

Web management

How web management works

Typing a long URL with a remote is nobody's idea of fun. Do it from your phone instead.

  1. Find the MAC and key on your TV

Open Settings › Manage from the web on the TV. It shows the MAC address, the device key and a QR code. Regenerating the key instantly revokes anyone you shared it with.

  2. Open the manage page on your phone

Scan the QR code, or go to phiptv-98376.web.app/manage and enter the MAC address and key. No account needed — signing in only lets you save the TV so you do not retype them next time.

  3. Add your own playlist

Enter the M3U URL or the Xtream Codes login issued by your service. Credentials are encrypted in your browser before they are sent, and the playlist shows up on the TV while it is on.

Supported inputs: an M3U/M3U8 URL or an Xtream Codes API login issued by YOUR service. PhiPTV supplies neither and connects only to the addresses you enter.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access content you add. PHIPTV does not provide, host, or endorse any content.

Content responsibility

PHIPTV is a media player only. It does not provide, host, bundle, or endorse any channels, streams, or other content.

You supply your own playlists and sources, and you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to access any content you add.

Shown and accepted on the first launch of the app, before anything else.

Questions

Before you install

How is PhiPTV different from other playlist players?

Most players are an app on one device. PhiPTV is an account: profiles, Kids rules, favourites and progress live with you and appear on every device you sign in to. Playback is where it starts, not where it ends.

Does PhiPTV include any channels, films or series?

No. PhiPTV ships empty and plays only the sources you add. It does not sell, recommend or link to any playlist or service.

What can a Kids profile see?

Only what a parent approved: playlists, categories, channels or single titles. Everything else is hidden, leaving the profile needs the PIN, and the daily limit and bedtime lock can end a session on their own.

Which devices does it run on?

The first release is for Android TV, Google TV, and Android phones and tablets. More platforms are on the roadmap above, and one account will cover all of them.

What can I add?

An M3U or M3U8 playlist URL, or an Xtream Codes API login (server, username, password), issued by your own service. An XMLTV link for the programme guide is optional.

Do I need an account?

Only for PhiPTV Cloud. Free and Local work without an account and keep everything on the device. Cloud needs one, because the account is what carries your playlists, profiles, favourites and progress to your other screens. The web manage page never needs an account.

Which version should I choose?

Free for live channels on one screen; Local for every feature on a device with nothing synced (and a buy-once option); Cloud for a household on several screens. See Pricing.

Are there ads?

No. There are no ads in any version, including Free, and no paid “remove ads” option.

Can I watch programmes that have already aired?

Yes, when your service keeps an archive for that channel (Xtream Codes catch-up). Past programmes you can replay are marked in the TV guide; press OK to watch from the start. In fullscreen on a TV, LEFT starts the programme that’s on now from the beginning.

Which languages does PhiPTV speak?

English at launch. Arabic, with a full right-to-left layout, and French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Russian, Italian and Turkish are being reviewed by native speakers and will follow. The remote keyboard already types Arabic, and search understands Arabic spelling variants.

Where do I find the MAC address and device key?

On the TV, open Settings › Manage from the web. The MAC address, the 10-character key and a QR code are shown there.

What happens if I regenerate the key?

The old key stops working immediately, on every phone or browser that had it. Playlists already on the TV are not affected.

Are my playlist details sent anywhere?

The credentials you enter on the manage page are encrypted in your browser before they are sent to the TV. PhiPTV connects only to the addresses you enter and never asks for your device key by email.
